We would like to introduce your school to an innovative Maths resource psychologically developed in Oxford, England.


Oh yeah, what is it?

It’s an interactive book that ‘brings learning to life’ for instant mastery of the times table that lasts a life-time.

Why do I need that?

Research shows that pupils who struggle in Maths are those who lack instant recall of the tables which is the building block for Maths (for division, algebra etc) in the same way ABC is to literacy (all the research is cited on our website).

Why do kids need Maths anyway?

Research shows that innumeracy is linked to poor wages, unemployment, social deprivation, crime, health and poor schooling (twice as likely to play truant and be excluded).

Okay Okay, how do I know your thing works?

In a recent independent test, instant recall was down from 35 seconds to only 2.5 seconds within a week of using the inTABS book!

In the latest independent test, instant recall was down from 19 seconds to 3.5 seconds within a day using the inTABS book with an autism spectrum learner.

What’s the catch?

There isn’t one. Why take our/others word and results for granted – test it for yourselves.

Is it SEN friendly and will it work on any child of any ability?

Absolutely! The book is Special Education Needs inclusive; it is one of the first production books in the world using a special dyslexia font (and colors) so no need for overlays etc. Here is the testimony of one autistic learner which is typical of the comments the book attracts from SEN learners:

Mastering instant recall sounds great, what else does it do?

You mean instant recall isn’t amazing in itself as a perquisite to math proficiency – you want more? Well, once we go beyond memorization, the book enables the children to learn symmetry e.g. when they open 7 x 3, the matching pair for that is 3 x 7 (and vice versa). This is where the book comes into its own by showing in a concrete interactive fashion that the times table is essentially a mirror half of each other. Moreover, if you ask the child to interactively open the tabs of the most recurring answers i.e. where the answer is 12, they will notice that this forms an ‘arc’ and the same goes for 24, 36, 48 and so on..  This is an abstract concept for children if it were not for the interactive (and fun) way the book can show these children through discovery learning. The most recurring answers are shape coded on the book to help kids who learn best through patterns – these patterns/features are a source of particular interest for SEN learners.

Sold! Wait, aren’t the Tabs on the book kinda fragile?

If we consider the Tabs like mini ‘pages’ on a book, then like any pages in any book, they can be torn off if a child really wishes to do that and no book in the world can prevent that.  Nonetheless, they have been rigorously tested to strike the fine balance between functionality and durability, especially the ability to leave some tabs open whilst others are closed to detect symmetry (or matching pairs) which serves as the USP of kinaesthetic learning of the book as per the activities contained in the lesson plans. Moreover, out of thousands, we’ve never had one ripped off by a kid or a refund requested for that reason (or if they find the book doesn’t work), although we’re happy to provide a full refund.
